The “Godfather” of the Detroit comedy scene (he hates that!), Bill Bushart sits with Tom to talk the Night Before Thanksgiving show, his musings on teaching comedy, and much more. Bill is hilarious on stage, and as a producer, puts together some of the best line-ups of up-and-coming comics, you’ll see. Don’t miss this show! Long before he became famous for the hit tv show “Cash Cab”, Ben Bailey was cutting his chops on the New York Comedy Scene.  He was an accomplished comic with some serious credits long before breaking through on television.  We are so excited that he’s out touring again and performing stand-up.  Check out his new show on YouTube @9:00 on Sunday nights, “The Big New Show.” There’s five shows with Ben this weekend at the club. It’s John Heffron week here at Mark Ridley’s Comedy Castle.  One of our favorites and one of the most successful comics to come out of the Southeast Michigan comedy scene.  From winning the second season of NBC’s Last Comic Standing to his many late night appearances, it’s been fun to see the success of one of our own.  Maybe Tyler Nissen will be that next breakout star from the local scene?  A great local comic with a unique delivery and voice, we had a great time catching up with him and learning more about what makes him tick. Nate Craig returns to the Castle this weekend and we couldn’t be more excited. “Preferred Customer” remains one of our favorite stand up albums of the last decade and Nate gives us the scoop on his upcoming release. Solid, cynical observational comedy at it’s best.  It’s no wonder Bill Burr selected him as his opener for theaters and arenas. Local comic Robyn Gilleran also stops by.  She’s opening for Nate this weekend and is a fixture on the Detroit and Southeast Michigan comedy scene and has a unique and interesting story on her journey to the  stage. A lot of buzz and heat in the comedy world for this week’s guest Eric Neumann.  A breakout spot on ” The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon” and three stand out records to his name, he’s a likable comic with killer jokes and smooth delivery.  Looking forward to his Mark Ridley’s Comedy Castle debut on October 19th. Dustin Nickerson has a great new album called “Overwhelmed” and is the host of a terrific podcast, “Don’t Make Me Come Back There“.  This is his second appearance on the Castle podcast and he proves that nice guys and clean comics do have a point of view worth hearing.  We also have a great conversation with the director of the Furniture Bank of Southeastern Michigan, Rob Boyle.  He talks about all the good work they are doing in the community and promotes their big fundraiser here at the Castle on October 13th. You gotta love a dog lover!  We know Mike Brody and his dogs Daisey, Frosty, and Moe from his excellent Dry Bar special, “Not of Afraid of Butterflies.”  He also has an excellent album out, “Sell Me a Bridge.”  A veteran of the fertile Twin Cities comedy scene and now a staple on Cruise Ships, Mike Brody is as funny as Midwest nice gets! Jared Freid is a raconteur of the highest order.  His provocative in your face style is down right sensible when you give it some thought.  Incredibly funny and useful relationship advice, heartwarming stories of body and food insecurities, and some spot on observational takes on the pandemic and its effect on our collective psyche are just some of the topics he covers.  Tonight Show appearances, Ted Talks, two very popular podcasts, he has some serious heat going right now.  Make sure to catch his Detroit Comedy debut this weekend at The Castle. Rob Little is a relentless ball of enthusiastic energy.  He got his start at Mark Ridley’s Comedy Castle over twenty years ago and remains a crowd favorite to this day.  A Rob Little show and a Rob Little conversation are always an event.  Make sure to check out all his upcoming appearances around the country here. Kevin Lepine is the long time star of “Hypnosis Unleashed THE Vegas Hypnosis Show” at the Four Queens Hotel in Downtown Las Vegas.  He is also a long time favorite of the Comedy Castle.  One of the most unique acts to come through on an annual basis, his incredible blend of comedy and hypnosis is not to be missed! Kevin performs at The Comedy Castle for one night, Tuesday October 18th.
