Podcast #110: April Macie

April Macie burst on to the scene with her appearance on season four of “Last Comic Standing” and quickly became a favorite of the Howard Stern show.  She stole the show on “Snoop Dogg Presents: The Bad Girls of Comedy” and recently featured in the Netflix special; “Tiffany Haddish: She Ready!”  She performs all over the world and recently had an Op-Ed published in the LA Times.  A great comic and fascinating person, this is a really fun interview. It’s a big week at The Comedy Castle as Saturday Night Live favorite Chris Kattan returns to the club this Sunday. Chris performed at the club and visited this show back in January of 2020, and you’ll hear that interview with some contemporary comments by Tom – and it’s, um, interesting. Podcast #106: Tommy Schneeman

Tommy Schneeman was named one of Caroline’s on Broadway 2022 breakout artists and we can see why.  An excellent stand up who also writes, produces, and edits a hilarious and popular web series called “The Roomates In Law” along with fellow comic and this week’s feature act; Tim Smith. Tommy is one of eight kids, and you can tell his humor and wit were essential survival skills in his crowded and chaotic upbringing.  Watch for big things from him in the near future and make sure to catch him at The Castle this weekend – tickets can be found at the link below.

Podcast #105: Carmen Lynch

This week’s headliner, Carmen Lynch is a powerhouse comic with an unbelievable portfolio of credits – The Tonight Show, Late Night With David Letterman, Conan, and Craig Ferguson are just a small sample.  She performs in Spanish and English all across the country and has two must listen comedy albums available; “Dance Like You Don’t Need The Money” and “Vertically Obese.”  She also has a great podcast, “The Human Centipod” which is available on all streaming services.  Connie Ettinger is yet another “recovering lawyer” who’s found a home in the comedy world.  One of the premier bookers in Michigan and a solid comic in her own right, she’s a fascinating character to speak with.
